OUR TEAM . . .
David Mitchell:
David is an Ex-BBC Producer, Ex-Teacher, Broadcast Journalist, Presenter and Voice trainer. He has produced Simon Mayo, Chris Choi, Jonathan Charles and Jeff Owen to name a few. He is a continuity announcer for ITV, and he has also worked for Granada Plus & BBC's Open University. He knows what is required of a voice artist as he is one himself. Some of his broadcasting credits to date include:-British Aerospace, SKY Sports, BFBS, amongst others.
Colin Cobb:
Ex-Presenter, Voice Artist, Presenter Trainer and owner of Presenter Promotions. On hand to offer guidance, advice and moral support for the whole event. Many of Colin's trainees have gone on to bigger and better things. Steve Knight from BBC's 'Animal Hospital' is just one shining example.
Mick Morley:
Our resident engineer has lots of experience and many credits to his name, least of all his ability to supply great selection of biscuits throughout the duration of the session.

WHO WOULD ATTEND THIS COURSE
This session is aimed at individuals who would like to work as a Television Continuity Announcer (And now on BBC1).
DURING YOUR SESSION
Talk and advice on demo contents, choosing scripts, script suitability, relaxation techniques and sight reading technique. We will record your voice demo in the studio. Production advice and guidance will be offered during the recording session. The final recordings are mixed with any necessary music and effects.
THE RESULT
The finished demo will reflect a good variety of your particular voice and presentation skills. A final discussion, which covers how to use your demo to promote yourself within the industry and some direct suggestions completes your time with Presenter Promotions.

DO I HAVE TO BRING MY OWN SCRIPTS?
Yes, for this Continuity Session we recommend you talk to Presenter Promotions for a stronger outline and see the downloadable script guide as to what should be supplied for your individual needs. It is very important that you have good writing ability, as ALL Continuity Announcers write their own scripts.
CAN OTHER MATERIAL BE ADDED TO MY NEW VOICE DEMO?
Yes, bring it along with you. A CD or DAT tape or a good quality cassette can be copied onto your new demo.

All Sessions are One to One and are happening all year round. Let us know if you wish to attend a session and we will arrange a date to suit you!

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Please download an application form below and once we have received your application, we will book the studio and make the producer available (as David could be working at ITV, it may be that we need to change dates and times to fit, so please give lots of options when apply) and then send you a confirmation letter with all the necessary information to get to the studio.
